EMDR
What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy allows clients to process trauma while using bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping, buzzers, or audio tones). Bilateral stimulation permits the client to get in touch with the feelings, emotions, and events that are imbedded in the nervous system. EMDR has been extensively researched and has been shown to help with diagnoses of PTSD, depression, anxiety, addiction and any life event that may cause distress.

How can EMDR help?
Trauma is heavy, stress is debilitating, and life can be defeating. EMDR empowers clients to face the things that continue to come up every day. What negatively impacts us present day can be traced back to past emotionally activating events. These past negative events can overshadow our current perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors. EMDR can help bring the positives back into life.
